Established in 1927, we know this neighbourhood. We’ve been in Finsbury Park and Stroud Green for over 93 years (yet we don’t look a day over 92!). As a result, we’re one of the most recognised local businesses and our heritage has helped us to become one of the most trusted too.
The majority of our team live locally, some were even born in the area. It’s always lovely to be told that you’re doing a good job. In 2019, out of tens of thousands of branches that were judged, we were voted the 7th best estate agent in the UK, as well as the best single office estate agent in North London, by the Best Estate Agent Guide.
The awards are judged on a set of criteria: including how good we are at customer service, property marketing, time on market, market share, and success on completion. In 2020 the BEAG changed their format and this time the highest accolade goes to those agencies who were voted in the top 3% of all agencies judged – of which, we are one!

Our heritage, prominent office in a high footfall area and our proven reputation have earned us a large, loyal repeat customer base. By providing as many services as possible in-house or through our tried-and-tested (and consistently monitored) partners, we hope to be able to provide some much needed relief from what can otherwise be a headache inducing process.
From helping you with mortgage, insurance and other financial advice, through to project managing property refurbishments – we’re here to help. Furthermore, there’s absolutely no obligation to use any of our in-house or partner services and we’ll never pressure you into opting into any of these services!
We’re highly skilled at helping you achieve the best possible price for your property. After all, that’s why you’re here right? Our holistic approach to estate agency means that we don’t just market your property (although we do that brilliantly), we actively help you present it in a way that generates increased interest from prospective buyers. We’ll make people excited about your property, immediately envisioning living there from the get go.
We always look to add value to your property in a cost effective and timely way – it could even be as simple as rearranging and decluttering a room (Marie Kondo has nothing on us). We can provide staging and styling advice, or even introduce you to interior stylists if you really mean business. We can help you with contractors and cleaners to spruce it all up before we send in one of our hugely talented photographers to capture your home in its best possible light.
We’re also constantly across the latest data and statistics, so we’re clever about when to put your property on the market in order to heighten interest, how to most effectively word our property descriptions and which pictures will have the biggest impact.

So what makes us an ethical estate agent?
We want to raise the standards of our industry and believe that estate agents should be regulated and qualified. We fully support Propertymark and the Regulation of Property Agents’ (RoPA) work on the compulsory regulation of the industry.
All of our team, with the exception of our trainees, are fully qualified within their field. We’re fully regulated by Propertymark and our sales, lettings and property management teams are all NAEA or ARLA qualified at level 3 upwards. Davies & Davies Chartered Surveyors are FRICS qualified and regulated by RICS. Our marketing team has relevant bachelors and masters degrees. Even our bookkeeper is currently sitting her AAT Level 2 Bookkeeping exams! No cowboys here.
